Absurdism as the letter W:

apparently it isn't yet commonly remembered that Iraq offered unconditional re-entry of UN inspectors in September of 2002, some three months before the UN resolution demanding their return, and Washington rejected the offer. One would think the fact that UNMOVIC's inspections were underway up until the invasion, at least, would be common knowledge, but that too apparently is not. I don't know how else Bush can continue to get away with statements like this:

The larger point is, and the fundamental question is, did Saddam Hussein have a weapons program? And the answer is, absolutely. And we gave him a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in.

How fuckin blatant a compulsive liar and/or surrealistically dim do you need to be before somebody intervenes and gets you proffesional help? I don't know, but this just came across my desk and I couldn't believe it.
