I ought to have been bitching about the miserly amount of aid Bush recently promised at the behest of Tony Blair's misdirected yearnings (just as much of his proposed 'war on AIDS' program for Africa yesteryear involved redirecting funds earmarked for the Global Fund to faith-based abstinence programs, and even then most of it remains sitting on the shelf). Dian Warth posted a barrage of coverage that basically amounts to: if we aren't going to subsidize development we could at least stop crushing Africa with ag subsidies and debt schemes.
