You wouldn't think it was possible, but arguments over administrative cost comparisons between medicare and private insurers can be absurdly funny. For example, it's absurd when the Heritage Foundation adds $7.2 billion of the Justice Department budget onto Medicare's administrative costs, just for the apparent hell of it, nearly doubling the program's administrative costs. The funny part is that the Heritage Foundation has already won.
