that's what you get when you depend on a foreign power to see to your interests, as often as not. I was always impressed by how expatriate Iraqi opposition groups that rejected demands for foreign intervention never saw the light of day when the discussion came up here. Then again there never was much interest in Iraqi opinion in general. Judging from the mainstream of anti-war editorials and column inches these days devoted to how the war has victimized America it's a pretty universal American trait. Poor us.
