torture, rape and dying might be bad, but we all know what would be worse..., 2007-06-16 11:03:40 | Main | something to read while you calm down..., 2007-07-11 13:02:24

    1&1 is teh sux:

after three weeks of being successively dicked around and then tea bagged by my very lame domain registrar 1and1.com, I have finally been given it back. They have a very peculiar bureaucratic policy in which every four business days they tell you your domain will be restored in 1-3 business days. Last Friday they finally told me that they would never give it back ("Why not?" I asked. "We don't know" they replied, knowingly) and early the next business day it was back in my name.

We now have a 10 year contract out on flagrancy.org (1and1 refuses to offer multi-year contracts, insisting on this annual auto-renewal process) and expect further .net downtime in 60 days when we try to transfer flagrancy.net to anybody else.

update: Vague Idea Property squatting zombie squirrels operate on 1-3 day business schedules, rest assured it will rise again to dessicate past and future vague ideas. I don't remember what I meant by 'flagrancy to reason' any longer. Such is bullocks.

Now where was I... Moving between jobs and apartments? Eating manwich? Is a sandwich just a sandwich? Reading some awful book about the AK-47? Oh yeah. Did I write all this stuff? Oh dear. What a lot of... What the hell is that? No, not that, that, that's been fixed. I forget my object in life. I bet I have a nice bag of pretzels someplace.

You're back! But you know that. I missed you. Thanks for the heads up on 1and1.

Ahh, I missed you also, thanks. Now I must stomach the intestinal fortitude to spill squirrel entrails upon the elbow blood soaked concrete of the intertubes. All I ever asked for was my own little bit of Nowhere, AK to build a bridge to, earmarking legacy costs at no additional expense to the taxpayer, by beaver or be damned.

hey man good to see you back on here--i had no idea what was going on with the world of you...in the meantime someone posted a ridiculously rad video of John Fahey on 'guitar guitar' from 1969 on the youtubes. check it out...a lesson in itself and maybe the greatest line of all 'it's a guitar, not an ashtray'. stay well and did you move?

I've had that on VHS for years, funny shit.

The cool fahey crap on youtube is this '78 concert in Hamburg, helped me figure out a few tunes I'd never played before:
