      Possibly from this poll: http://www.gallup.com/poll/content/login.aspx?ci=14107 (which is sadly no longer available for public viewing). "Only about a third of Americans believe that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is a scientific theory that has been well supported by the evidence". But the other statements in the poll's summary seem to contradict that statement.
