"The scale of it matches Saddam's kickbacks in the oil for food scandal, but the US journalists who were so outraged at the former don't seem to have the time of day for the embezzlement story."
Eh. The scale of Saddam's oil smuggling with tacit US approval was ten times greater than the oil for food scandal, and that didn't particularly bother anybody. And then there's the 20 billion remainder of the food program fund, which, last I heard, little of which was accounted for, or the dumping of US reconstruction contracts into security, etc.. The librul media has only barely covered any of it, and, such as with the smuggling, has refused to suggest the obvious conclusion.
