torture, rape and dying might be bad, but we all know what would be worse:

The One Holy and Apostolic Church has another bee in its chastity belt:

THE Vatican said today it was suspending all financial aid to Amnesty International and called on all Catholics to stop supporting the human rights group, accusing it of promoting abortion.

The council's president, Cardinal Renato Martino, said the "suspension of all financing of Amnesty by Catholic organisations and by individuals" is the "inevitable consequence" of the group's recent decision to support access to abortion for women who had been raped or whose health was endangered by their pregnancy.

In a statement, Amnesty Italy said it had decided in April to involve itself in issues relating to abortion "to the extent that they are directly linked to its actions for the right to health and against violence against women."

That should put a wedgie in their kippers! Down with the international oligarchy of Amnesty International!

Amnesty Italy promptly said it did not receive any Vatican or Catholic Church funding anyway.

It hurts so bad. This isn't the first time the Catholic Church has persued a harsh crack down against the international anti-seed conspiracy, known to researchers as the shadowy and schismatic sect, Be Fruitful and Multiply By One (BEFUMBO):

In 1996 the Catholic Church took a similar measure in cutting off aid to the United Nations childrens' fund UNICEF, also accused of promoting abortion.

UNICEF was distributing in refugee camps around the world a post-intercourse spermicide for young women or teenage girls who had been raped.

Vatican aid to UNICEF totalled 2,000 dollars a year.

Yes. Killing rapists' sperm, that's tantamount to supporting the holocaust. Shame on UNICEF.

    Comments:
Must it always be women's burden to bear the next generation of Christian soldiers? I don't recall signing up to be the Vatican's whore.
Heaven forbid if any international organization should do something that might help a woman. Why do men love torturing us so? And why is the Vatican arguing points that should have died out back in the middle ages?
      Truly mystifying.

Well, the Vatican is a dark age institution.
