WATCHING THE CABLE NEWS IS LIKE GOING THROUGH LIFE WITH THE CAPSLOCK ON:

finally, time to sit on the phone in order to cancel the fucking cable subscription. 20 minutes of BBC News a day. That's all you get for your digital silver comcast subscription. Maher is having a terrible season if he ever had a mediocre one; the Daily Show's first 10 minutes are available online; C-SPAN is better online; maybe one marginally interesting documentary a month. Whatever the price, the price isn't worth it. I waited on hold for close to 3 hours. I wouldn't take a lower price for an answer.

An internal assessment leaves us with a list of half-read books:

    1. Blowback, Johnson.
    2. Politics of War, Kolko.
    3. Nuclear Delusion, Kennan,
    4. Essays, AJ Muste.
    5. Sandburg, Yannella.
    6. Politics of Heroin, McCoy.
    7. Making Them Like Us, Fischer.
    8. The Collected Poems, Czeslaw Milosz.

Time to go blind and chew bubble gum.
